The Railroader is a wonderful heritage styled double prong belt in a 1.5″ width, made using the highest quality English Bridle Butt leather. The Butt, is the best cut of the hide and bridle butt has been through a long process of compressing with waxes and greases to give it superior strength in all conditions. This is a labour intensive process and therefore expensive, only the best grades of leather will receive this treatment.
This belt uses a solid brass twin prong roller buckle and matching keeper, attached with hand saddle stitching. Hand beveled and burnished edges maintain a luxury feel and finish to the bridle leather and the 7 pairs of one inch spaced tear drop buckle holes give both a unique styling feature and lots of practical size adjustment for various trouser rises and of course, those times when bodyweight fluctuates.
The Thread for the stitching will be white regardless of what leather colour you choose. If you would like an alternative thread colour, please mention this in the comments box at checkout, along with any other requests, such as initials adding to the belt.
Made to order in 3-5 weeks from ordering to dispatch.
Sizing Guide
We make the belt for you, so will size it for you rather than using shop style generic sizing. The Aim is to determine your “Belt size” which is a different thing to your waist or trouser size. Once we have your belt size, we make your new belt so that it will fit you on the middle hole, giving you adjustment either way if ever needed.
There are two methods available to work out your belt size. Method 1, if understood and measured correctly, is by far the most accurate.
Method 1
Measure an existing belt.
We ask you to measure a current belt from the end of the leather strap where it meets/starts to fold around the buckle (not including the buckle itself) all the way down to the HOLE YOU USE MOST/FITS YOU BEST.
This is your belt size.
Please note: The belt size is usually around 2″ bigger than your jeans size.
Method 2
Add 3″ to your trouser size. For example, if you wear 32″ jeans, order a 35″ belt.
If in doubt over the belt size, go bigger, rather than smaller.
This method is not as accurate as method 1. However it maybe useful if you are buying the belt as a gift and know the recipients trouser size, but cannot measure one of their existing belts.
If you are still in doubt, feel free to email chris@chadwickbelts.co.uk to discuss.
Customisation
If you would like your initials adding to the back of the buckle area (not visible when worn) please state this in the comments box when ordering.
